14 July 2026 – The Sarawak Land and Survey Department has undergone the Sarawak Civil Service Environmental Standard (SACSES) Certification Audit, which aims to assess the agency's level of compliance with environmental management standard requirements and green practices within the Sarawak Civil Service.

This audit was conducted by an audit team from the Sarawak Transformation and Innovation Unit (STIU), Department of the Premier of Sarawak, through document review, on-site observation, and interview sessions with officers and staff of the Sarawak Land and Survey Department. The evaluation carried out encompassed policy implementation, procedures, resource management, compliance with SACSES requirements, as well as continuous improvement efforts implemented by the agency.

The audit session began with an Audit Opening Meeting, which provided explanations regarding the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit implementation. Throughout the audit, the audit team assessed various aspects of SACSES implementation to ensure that the environmental management system is implemented effectively and meets the certification requirements.

The audit concluded with an Audit Closing Meeting, where the audit team presented the audit summary, including positive findings, findings, and improvement recommendations that can be implemented to further strengthen the implementation of SACSES at the Sarawak Land and Survey Department.

The implementation of this SACSES Certification Audit reflects the continuous commitment of the Sarawak Land and Survey Department in institutionalising systematic, sustainable, and quality environmental management in line with the aspirations of the Sarawak Civil Service towards service delivery excellence.
