Association launches website to better serve public

MIRI: The Computer Sales and Service Association (CSSA) Sarawak launched its website here Saturday.

According to CSSA central committee chairman Wong Chi Tieng, the website was put together to serve the public with the most up-to-date activities as well as past and future events.

“I’m delighted to note that within six months, CSSA Sarawak website is in place, and it now provides more useful information to the public,” he said.

Present to officiate at the launching ceremony was Miri Mayor Lawrence Lai.

CSSA Miri chairman Jacky Jong was also present.

Wong said CSSA had grown in strength over the years and currently had more than 180 members representing the majority of computer firms in the state.

“We plan to celebrate our  10th anniversary in October next year in Sibu, the place where the association was first mooted,” he said, adding that a souvenir magazine would also be published in connection with the celebration.

The newly-launched CSSA website contains comprehensive information about the association such as rules and regulations, membership application form, CSSA guidelines and members’ directory.

In connection with the launching, the association also launched its ‘Get To Know CSSA’ contest which is open to all Sarawakians.

The contest is carried out in a manner whereby selective questionnaires are posted on the newly launched website for contestants to find the answers in order to win attractive prizes.

The grand prize of the contest is a unit of Apple iPOD Nano 8GB worth RM599, followed by Apple iPOD Shuffle 1GB as second prize, Canon IP1800 printer (third), HPD2560 printer (fourth) plus two other consolation prizes.

The contest runs from Oct 17 until Nov 17 and the public can participate by logging onto www.cssa.com.my/contest.htm.
