KUCHING: Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, graciously attended the opening ceremony of the Borneo Craft Expo and International Conference 2024 (BCG2024) at the Kuching Waterfront on Wednesday.

The opening of BCG2024 was officiated by the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

Her Royal Highness was accompanied by the wife of Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, and the wife of the Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly, Puan Sri Datin Amar Fatimah Mohamad Iskandar.

Approximately 250 craft exhibitors from various countries participated in the event, including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, and many others.

Later in the afternoon, Her Royal Highness is scheduled to visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre.

On Thursday, she is expected to visit the Songket Sarapride Industrial Vocational Centre (PVI) at Puncak Borneo Prison before proceeding to Kek Lapis Warisan Sdn Bhd.

Her Royal Highness will also conduct a private tour of the Borneo Craft International Expo and in the evening, she will grace the BCG2024 Gala Dinner with her presence. -UKASnews
