KANOWIT: The Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat took place at Rumah Panjang Tarang, Nanga Apek, Ulu Poi, Kanowit, on Saturday as a platform for strengthening the relationship between local leaders and the community.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak, Datuk Snowdan Lawan, led the event, accompanied by Machan Assemblyman Allan Siden.

The visit underscored their commitment to engaging with the grassroots and understanding the needs of the local population.

“This is a chance for us to hear your voices and understand your needs.

“We want to work together to ensure that the development we bring is truly beneficial for all,” he said.

Besides that, Datuk Snowdan encouraged community leaders to back Allan Siden in spearheading development in the Machan constituency.

“I encourage everyone to give Allan Siden the space to lead, with the support of all community heads,” he added.

He also called on the longhouse leaders to carry out their duties with integrity and diligence, urging them to fulfil their responsibilities with trust and honesty in order to ensure the well-being of their community.
