TATAU: The Miring Ngampun Programme was held on Friday following the capture of two crocodiles in Nanga Sungai Sapndan and Nanga Sungai Annau, Tatau, on 27 September.
Present during the ceremony was Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department, Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai.
The Crocodile Capture Operation was conducted by the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) with the assistance of Crocodile Hunter, Indet Senabong, after a child, Cecilia Julan Intik, 6, was believed to have been attacked by a crocodile while bathing in Batang Anap River on 18 September.
The ceremony was attended by 100 people, including department heads, community leaders, village chiefs (KMKK) members of Tatau District, and local residents. -UKASnews
