KUCHING: The Sarawak Government has announced the provision of Special Financial Assistance (BKK) equivalent to two months’ basic salary for Sarawak civil servants.

Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg said the BKK will be calculated based on the latest basic salary in November 2024 and will be paid in December 2024.

Additionally, he announced that Federal civil servants serving in Sarawak will also receive a one-off BKK amounting to RM700 which will be paid in the first quarter of 2025.

“The total financial implication of the BKK incentive for Sarawak Civil Service and Federal Civil Service is estimated at RM190 million,” he said.

He said this during his winding-up speech at the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly Sitting on Wednesday.

Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari added that this assistance is given as a token of appreciation for the contributions and commitment of members of the Sarawak Civil Service. -UKASnews
