Late Joanna's Remains Safely Arrived At Kuching Air Base

KUCHING: The remains of the late Joanna Felicia Rohna, a victim of the helicopter collision incident at the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) Lumut Base, Perak, safely arrived at Kuching Air Base at 11:54 p.m. last night, carried by a Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) C130 aircraft.

Adding to the poignancy, heavy rain seemed to mourn alongside the arrival of Joanna's remains.

The late Joanna's remains was received by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Martin Ben, Bukit Semuja assemblyman, John Ilus, and her closest family members.

Before being brought back to Kuching, the late Joanna's body underwent a post-mortem procedure at 2:20 p.m. at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) in Ipoh, Perak.

Subsequently, the body was taken to her residence in Kampung Engkeroh, Tebakang, Serian, before the funeral ceremony on April 25 at 9 a.m. at the Christian Cemetery near the village.

The late Joanna, 26, a native of Kampung Sumpas Tampek, Serian, was a member of TLDM with the rank of Laskar Kanan (Leading Rate). 

She who was aboard one of the helicopters that crashed along with six other victims.

On Tuesday, Malaysia was shocked by the tragic incident when two TLDM helicopters collided and crashed during an air exercise in conjunction with the 90th Anniversary Celebration of the TLDM, resulting in the deaths of 10 victims at the scene.

All 10 deceased victims were Commander Muhammad Firdaus Ramli, Commander Muhamad Amir Mohamad, Lieutenant Commander Wan Rezaudeen Kamal Wan Zainal Abidin, Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Amirulfaris Mohamad Marzukhi, Lieutenant Sivasutan Thanjappan, Warrant Officer II TLR (AQM) Muhammad Faisol Tamadun, Warrant Officer II TNL Noorfarahimi Mohd Saedy, Warrant Officer II TMK Mohd Shahrizan Mohd Termizi, Petty Officer II TNL Noor Rahiza Anuar, and Joanna. -UKASnews
