KUCHING: The construction of the RM15 million Sarawak Government Administrative Complex in Daro is included in the list of Service Quarters and Government Office Buildings approved under the Mid-Term Review of the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12).
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Deparment (Native Laws and Customs), Datuk Jefferson Jamit Unyat said the complex will house various government departments and agencies to improve service delivery to the public.
“The project is expected to begin at the end of 2025, with a duration of 24 months.
“The components of the Sarawak Government Administrative Centre project in Daro include one block of the Integrated Administrative Centre Building, along with external and associated works,” he said.
He said this in response to a question from Daro assemblyman, Safiee Ahmad during the 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Sitting on Thursday.
Datuk Jefferson also added that the complex is expected to house departments and agencies such as the Daro District Office, Bumiputera Court, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Agriculture Sarawak, Public Works Department Sarawak, Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Rural Water Supply Department, Department of Islamic Affairs, Federal Offices, and TASKA. -UKASnews
