TERENGGANU: Terengganu Menteri Besar, Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar received a courtesy call from the delegation from the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) and the Para SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 which aimed to extend an invitation to the Terengganu State government to participate in both sporting events in August and September.
The courtesy visit by the Sarawak government delegation was led by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam and attended by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, on Tuesday.
A total of 800 athletes from Terengganu will participate in SUKMA in Sarawak this time, while 93 athletes will participate in the Para SUKMA in September.
Meanwhile, Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad stated that all Terengganu SUKMA and Para SUKMA athletes will give their best in this year's championship despite acknowledging the competition as very challenging.
He also extended his congratulations to the Sarawak government as the host of this year's sporting event.
