KELANTAN: The Malaysia Games (SUKMA) and the Para SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Dato’ Panglima Perang Ustaz Dato’ Mohd Nassurudin Daud at his office on Monday.
The Sarawak government delegation was led by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam.
Among the delegates were Sarawak Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, and Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Operation) who is also Chief Executive Officer of SUKMA & Para SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024, Datu Hii Chang Kee.
Meanwhile, Dato’ Panglima Perang Ustaz Dato’ Mohd Nassurudin Daud welcomed the courtesy visit by the delegation.
Based on the registration list, a total of 531 athletes and officials from Kelantan will be participating in this championship.
"Kelantan has registered to participate in 32 sports. We expect a total of 12,613 participants for SUKMA, while Para SUKMA will have 1,400 athletes and 600 officials," Dato’ Panglima Perang explained.
For this edition, Sarawak has planned to hold events in nine divisions in Sarawak, namely Kuching (25 sports events), Samarahan (2), Serian (1), Sri Aman (1), Betong (1), Sibu (3), Mukah (3), Bintulu (3), and Miri (6). -UKASnews
