KEDAH: The Malaysia Games (SUKMA) and the Para SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 delegation, on their mission to organise both sporting events, received strong support from the Kedah government.
Sarawak Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development, Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu stated that they had visited Penang and Perlis on Monday, and on Tuesday, they were in Kedah to discuss the challenges and preparations for both sporting events scheduled for August.
"The SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 will take place from August 17 to 24 and has received a positive response not only from the Chief Ministers and Menteri Besar but also from the Youth and Sports Exco and the respective Sports Council Directors," he said.
He made these remarks when met after paying a courtesy visit to the Menteri Besar of Kedah, Dato Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, at Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Setar, Kedah on Tuesday.
Dato Gerald Rentap expressed pride that all three key leaders of the state government gave positive feedback on organising SUKMA & Para SUKMA XXI in Sarawak this year.
"We are proud because all three state governments have given positive feedback, and we believe that SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 will be a unifying force for all Malaysians," he said.
Also present during the courtesy visit were Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus, Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Sarawak Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Dolhadi Mazuki, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Sarawak Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Nur Alina Abdullah Colliner Gohe, Principal Assistant Secretary of the Sarawak Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Jee Chin Fu, and the organising secretariat of the courtesy visit for the Northern Zone. -UKASnews
