KUCHING: The roof of the pickleball court in Satok will be upgraded after the sport has received favorable response.

Satok Assemblyman Dato Ibrahim Baki said that the allocation of the project is circa RM60,000.

"This is a sign of support for the development of community sports facilities and efforts to strengthen sports activities in the Satok area," he said.

He said this during the Satok Sports Carnival 2024 at the Satok Sports Complex here on Sunday.

The carnival, which began since November 1, was attended by more than 300 participants from the Satok community.

The carnival specifically for the Satok community became a platform to promote sportsmanship, a healthy lifestyle, and unity regardless of age, race or religion.

This carnival saw three main events namely Futsal, Sepak Takraw, and Open Women's Pickleball. - UKASnews
