KUCHING: The Sarawak Regatta 2024 entered its second day with exciting races ahead.

Crowds packed the Kuching Waterfront as early as 8 a.m. to witness the second day of racing, especially the highly anticipated final events set for the afternoon, the Perahu Kenyalang 20-Paddler Mixed at 3:15 p.m. and the Perahu Kenyalang 20-Paddler Men's (IPTA/IPTS) at 3:45 p.m.

In total, 12 preliminary rounds and 2 final rounds are being held today, featuring both local and open categories, with eight races in the morning session and six in the afternoon.

Tomorrow will mark the final day of Sarawak Regatta 2024, featuring another 14 grand final events.

Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg are expected to grace the event tomorrow. -UKASnews
