SIBU: About 800 participants took part in the health cycling held in conjunction with "Baitulmal with the Community" programme organised by Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) held at the Sarawak Islamic Complex grounds, on Sunday.

The health cycling event was led by Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapa'ee.

In relation to this, Datuk Dr Annuar commended the role of TBS, which consistently supports the welfare of Asnaf and places of worship in Sibu.

"Most importantly, Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak has a rapid response mechanism to deliver aid during accidents or disasters, making them the first to assist those in need.

"I deeply appreciate Baitulmal for having an efficient and fast team to respond when disasters occur in Sibu," he said when met by reporters during the programme.

This programme aims to engage the community, including non-Muslims, to genuinely contribute to the well-being of all citizens.

Other activities included aerobics, Rahmah sales, health screenings, and a blood donation drive.

Also present were TBS General Manager, Datu Abg Mohd Shibli Abg Mohd Nailie and Head of TBS of Sibu Division, Siti Azliyani Jasini. -UKASnews
