BINTANGOR: A special grant of RM5,000 has been awarded to SJK (C) Su Tak to support its annual activities for 2025.

The allocation was announced by Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing during the school’s Mooncake Festival and Children’s Day Celebration on Friday.

Datuk Ding highlighted that SJK (C) Su Tak's development is a significant milestone, achieved through the dedicated cooperation of teachers and parents, particularly given the school’s past struggle with declining student enrolment.

"This is crucial as SJK (C) Su Tak was once a rural school facing a drop in student numbers.

"The close collaboration with the Parent-Teacher Association has been vital in driving the school’s progress," he said at the event.

Additionally, Datuk Ding noted that the completion of the school’s indoor court, made possible through the Sarawak Government's Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), will enable the school to organise more activities.

Present at the event were SJK (C) Su Tak’s Management Board Chairman, Kapitan Ting Kuok Teck, Parent-Teacher Association Chairman, Huang Ho Hie and Headmistress Wong Suk Eng.-UKASnews
