KUCHING: The Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU) received the Digital Government Award during the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2024.
Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, presented the award to the Director of SCSDU, Grace Huong Siew Hung, during the Closing and Gala Dinner for IDECS at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Thursday.
SCSDU was recognised for its SCS Mobile+ project, which drives digital transformation in government services.
The platform offers a single access point for various government departments, making interactions easier for all stakeholders.
This award acknowledges the most innovative and successful project developed and implemented in the field of government digitalisation.
IDECS 2024, a key platform for the Sarawak government to promote innovation and socio-economic growth, took place over two days from October 16 to 17, 2024.
Also present during the Closing and Gala Dinner were Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS) Chairman, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department, Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, and SDEC Chairman and IDECS Deputy Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, along with other honoured guests. -UKASnews
