KUCHING: Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi leads the list of 1,046 recipients of the State Honours, Orders, and Medals of Sarawak in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebration of the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, on Saturday.

The wife of the Head of State is awarded the prestigious Datuk Patinggi Bintang Kenyalang (DP), granting her the title ‘Datuk Patinggi.’

Tan Sri Datuk Amar Leonard Linggi Jugah also received the Datuk Patinggi Bintang Kenyalang.

Meanwhile, four recipients are conferred the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS) award, which carries the title ‘Dato Sri’.

They are the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Tan Sri Dato' Abdul Rahman Sebli, Sarawak Attorney-General, Datu Saferi Ali, Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Datu Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, and Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohammad.

Additionally, three individuals received the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (PGBK), which carries the title ‘Datuk.’

Among the PGBK recipients are the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dato' Sri Huang Tiong Sii, Principal Private Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Dato Khir Busrah, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RECODA, Datu Ismawi Ismuni.

Furthermore, 12 individuals were awarded the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (DJBS), carrying the title ‘Datu.’

These recipients include the Permanent Secretary to the Sarawak Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication, Jafri Lias, Permanent Secretary to the Sarawak Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development, Sirai Daha, Permanent Secretary to the Sarawak Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, Elizabeth Loh, and Permanent Secretary to the Sarawak Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Abang Ahmad Abang Morni.

Other recipients of the DJBS include the Director of the Sarawak Protocol, Ceremonial, and Event Management Unit, Hamdan Sharbini, Sarikei Division Resident, Michael Ronnie Langgong, Bintulu Division Resident, Nyurak Keti, Mukah Division Resident, Kueh Lei Poh, Controller of Environmental Quality Sarawak, Jack Liam, Chief Registrar of the Native Courts of Sarawak, Jonathan Lugoh, Director of Sarawak Foundation, Mersal Abang Rosli, and Professor Dr Neilson Ilan Mersat from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Next, the Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS), which carries the title ‘Dato,’ is awarded to 18 recipients.

Among the recipients are the Chief Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, DBKU Mayor, Hilmy Othman, Press Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Ambrose Cheng Loi Hee, Kabong Assemblyman, Mohd Chee Kadir, Abang Abdillah Izzarim, and Brigadier General Kamarulzaman Mohd Yunos.

Other recipients of the PSBS include Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, Dr Wee Kam Siak, Dr Richard Rapu, Jefri Ahmad Tambi, Shankar A/L Ram Pohumall, Abang Arabi Abang Narudin, Sudarnoto Osman, Dato' Seri Khaw Kok Chin, Archbishop Dr Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng, Jacqueline Fong Yean Yee, Dato' Lee Heng Cheong, and Su'ut Johari.

Meanwhile, the Johan Bintang Sarawak (JBS) was awarded to three recipients, Johan Bintang Kenyalang (JBK) to one recipient, the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang to 20 recipients, Pegawai Bintang Sarawak to 15 recipients, Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang to 98 recipients, Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti to 143 recipients, Ahli Bintang Sarawak to 76 recipients, Ahli Bintang Kenyalang to 198 recipients, Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji to 194 recipients, and Bentara Bintang Sarawak to 259 recipients.

Also present were Sarawak Premier and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, Sarawak Deputy Premiers, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, Ministers, former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong, Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy Ministers, Heads of Departments, and other honoured guests. -UKASnews
