PADAWAN: The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) organised a Customer Day at Kampung Biya Assum Multipurpose Hall on Saturday, providing a one-stop platform for local residents to access government services directly.
The event featured seven customer service counters from both Sarawak and Federal government agencies, including the Sarawak Social Welfare Department, the Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit, Yayasan Sarawak, Sarawak Skills, the National Registration Department (JPNS), and the Sarawak State Health Department.
As part of the day’s activities, agencies held ‘Pocket Talk’ sessions to inform the public about their services and answer any questions. There was also a colouring contest for preschoolers and Year One students from SK Kambug, adding a fun and engaging element for the younger attendees.
The event is set to conclude at 2 p.m. with a closing ceremony by Sarawak Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.
Local residents, especially those in the Padawan area, are encouraged to attend and make use of the wide range of services and activities available. -UKASnews
