RM30,000 Allocated For Sarikei District Education Office Recreational Club Activities

SARIKEI: A sum of RM30,000 was allocated to the Sarikei District Education Office Recreational Club to fund the club's annual activities.

The funds were allocated by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dato' Sri Huang Tiong Sii during the Excellent Service Award (APC) Ceremony 2024 organised by the Sarikei District Education Office on Thursday. 

According to him, the ‘First-Class Work Culture’ which combines integrity, discipline, and responsibility, must be the guiding principle for all education personnel to perform their duties with honesty and transparency.

“Every educator must uphold the image and reputation of their schools, especially during these uncertain times. 

"My hope is that all educators maintain the good image and reputation of their schools and the District Education Office, especially in navigating these volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous times," he said.

Dato' Sri Huang added that educators should elevate their professionalism by demonstrating credibility and a positive image, and that maintaining integrity is essential to prevent small mistakes from damaging the entire organisation’s reputation.

During the same event, a total of 114 recipients were awarded Excellent Service Award certificates, while 59 retirees received appreciation certificates.

Dato' Sri Huang congratulated all of the APC recipients, encouraging them to continue their dedication and excellence while supporting the government's efforts toward national prosperity and public welfare.

Also present were Sarikei District Education Officer, Lau Ngie Tung, Chairman of the Sarikei District Malaysian Headmasters Association, Kho Tai Chai, Chairman of the Sarikei Division Secondary School Principals Association, Anna Su Siew Ling, and Principal of Sarikei Secondary School, Wong Ling Jiong. -UKASnews
