DARO: Two major projects in the Daro area, namely the new construction of the Village Link Road (JPD) in Kampung Pangtray and the upgrading of the JPD in Kampung Tebaang (Phase II), are set to improve accessibility for locals from the surrounding areas.
According to Daro Assemblyman, Safiee Ahmad, both projects will be implemented this year, involving two implementing agencies which are the Matu and Daro District Council and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID).
"We are currently finalising the specifications for both projects, and insyaAllah, they will be carried out this year.
“The implementation period for these projects is 10 weeks, or approximately two and a half months," he said during the JPD Project Sites Handover held here, on Wednesday.
Safiee added that the Sarawak Government remains committed to improve road infrastructure in rural areas.
With the completion of these projects, it is expected that the quality of life for rural residents will improve, contributing to local economic growth.
