KUCHING: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) represented Sarawak at the national 'Hari Cuci Malaysia' event on Saturday.

The MPP participated in the programme online, where they simultaneously launched community clean-up activities starting at the Desa Wira Village Hall in Batu Kawa.

'Hari Cuci Malaysia' was held at the Central Market in Kuala Lumpur, featuring live streaming slots from selected locations across all states in Malaysia.

Also present during the programme was the Sarawak Deputy Premier, who is also the Minister for Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

He stated that the implementation of this programme is important for raising awareness within the local community about the significance and responsibility of public cleanliness.

Also present were MPP Chairman Tan Kai, Penghulu Stanley Repon Maxwell Lanber, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Desa Wira, and other MPP staff. -UKASnews
