BINTULU: More than 3,000 people took part in the 2024 Maulidur Rasul celebration at Esplanade Bintulu, representing 61 groups.

The celebration started with prayers, Quran recitations, and the call to prayer, followed by a lively procession and an award ceremony.

Chairman of Assyakirin Mosque, Datu Mohidin Ishak, presented awards to top students, with SPM honours going to Mohd Zulhilmi Azman and Damia Shafiqah Abdul Irham, while Muhammad Syarul Amri Hishamudin and Nur Amalina Ripan were recognised for STPM.

A banner competition was also held, with top winners including SK Kampung Jepak for primary schools, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu for secondary and higher institutions, and PETRONAS for private companies.

The event successfully brought the Bintulu community together, promoting unity and Islamic values.
