KUCHING: The Sarawak Future Forum 2024, to held on 10 October 2024 at Sheraton Kuching Hotel, will feature global leaders discussing sustainable economic development.

Organised by the Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence (SCOPE) and Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service (LISCS), the event will be inaugurated by Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.

Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari will deliver the opening keynote, highlighting Sarawak’s role in balancing economic growth with sustainability.

"Sarawak is a region rich in natural resources and cultural heritage, and we aim to showcase how regions like ours can lead in sustainable development," he said.

Key speakers include Nobel Prize-winning economist Professor Joseph Stiglitz, who will discuss moving beyond GDP as a measure of success, and Marga Hoek, a leading expert on sustainable business.

The forum will also feature Malaysian artist Red Hong Yi, known for her impactful mixed-media installations.
