SERIAN: Sarawak’s Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Dato Sri Roland Sagah We Inn, officiated the 6th Tiong Hua Cultural Night and Serian Mooncake Festival 2024 at the Chung Hua School Hall (SJK Chung Hua Batu 35) on Saturday.

This is the second time the Tarat Assemblyman has officiated the event, which was organised by the Joint Committee of School Boards and Parent-Teacher Associations (PIBG) from Chinese-medium primary schools in the Serian Division.

The event was filled with various activities, including dance and singing performances by students from the Serian Division’s Chinese primary schools, a lucky draw, awards for outstanding students, long service awards, and presentations of souvenirs to sponsors and donors.

Also in attendance were Bukit Semuja Assemblyman John Ilus, Tebedu Assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada, Serian Resident Caroline Cleophas Joseph, Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak Damen Rejek, Event Chairman and School Board Chairman of SJK Chung Hua Batu 35 Penghulu Philip Lee Joi Chee, and Chairman of the Federation of Chinese Primary School Management Boards for Kuching, Samarahan, and Serian, Dato Jonathan Chai Voon Tok. -UKASnews
