MERADONG: The Community Development Department (KEMAS) held a handover ceremony for its Foldable Stall Programme at the Meradong District Office Hall on Friday.

Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, highlighted that the programme’s primary goal is to offer entrepreneurs a mobile platform to conduct business, boost their competitiveness, and enhance the marketability of rural products, even on a small scale.

“I would like to thank KEMAS for its ongoing efforts to create business opportunities, especially for rural communities,” he said during the ceremony.

Datuk Ding added that initiatives like this are important for empowering entrepreneurs to increase their income and improve their quality of life. 

Additionally, the skills gained through this programme boost participants' confidence and deepen their interest in the business sector.

Also present were Acting Meradong District Officer, Thomas Geoffrey Kendawang and KEMAS Officer of Sarikei Division, Banggie Mujap.-UKASnews
