KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan attended the National Entrepreneurship Development Meeting (MPKN) No.1/2024 here, on Tuesday morning.

The meeting, chaired by Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, Datuk Ewon Benedick, was also attended by EXCOs and representatives from each state.

During the meeting, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah emphasised that the Sarawak government through the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED) is in the process of creating the Sarawak Entrepreneur Development Database and requires the cooperation of agencies to share existing data with one another.

He also stressed that the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship in Sarawak are not the same as in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, and different approaches should be used.
