KUCHING: A score of 415.15 points was more than enough for Elvis Priestley Clement to clinch Sarawak’s first diving gold medal in the men’s 3-metre springboard event which kicked off at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre on Monday.
 
Elvis secured the highest point to defeat Federal Territories athlete, Rui Jie Yong who collected 388.80 points.
 
Another Federal Territories athlete, Nurqayyum Nazmi Mohamad Nazim took third place with 377.65 points.
 
Meanwhile, another Sarawakian, Awang Sharzan Nasrin finished fifth with a score of 306.75 points.
 
The medals presentation ceremony was officiated by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam. -UKASnews
