MIRI: The second phase of upgrading works at the Miri Visitors’ Information Centre is nearly 96 per cent complete.

The project, costing RM500,000, began on November 22, 2023 and is expected to be fully completed within the next week.

In this regard, a work visit was conducted by the Sarawak Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew on Tuesday to monitor the progress of the project.

The Piasau assemblyman commented that the upgrading works will create a destination that is more comfortable and attractive for both local and foreign tourists.

"With these improvements, the Miri Visitors’ Information Centre will become a focal point for those seeking information on attractions in Miri as well as Sarawak.

“I hope that this facility will attract more tourists to explore the beauty of the area," he said. -UKASnews
