KUCHING: Sarawak is ready to welcome over 1,000 media practitioners from across the nation who will be covering the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA XXI) Sarawak 2024, set to kick off on August 17.
 
Preparations are in full swing to accommodate the print, electronic, and online media personnel who will be stationed in Kuching.
 
To ensure a smooth operation, Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Operation) and Chief Executive Officer of SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024, Datu Hii Chang Kee took the time to visit and inspect the final preparations at two media centres in Petra Jaya, Kuching before they go live tomorrow.
 
Also present during the visit was Director of the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Samuel Simon.
 
The two centres are the SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 Main Media Centre located at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre, and the SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024 Broadcasting Centre at the Sarawak Stadium.
 
The centres are scheduled to be officially launched tomorrow by the Sarawak Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah. -UKASnews
