KUCHING: The Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), Sarawak State Athletics Association, and Sarawak State Swimming Association held a ‘Test Game’ for the Closed Athletics and Aquatic Sports Championships on Sunday as a final preparation for the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) Sarawak 2024.

The preparations took place at the Sarawak Stadium and the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre to ensure that all technical preparations and equipment requirements for the upcoming SUKMA Games run smoothly.

Additionally, the ‘Test Game’ organised by the Technical and Competition Committee of the SSC aimed to conduct a final internal technical review with the technical committee and to give Sarawak’s athletics and swimming athletes an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the venue before the actual event.

For the record, the athletics and swimming events will take place over five days, from August 19 to 23, at Sarawak Stadium and the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.

Also present during the trial session was the Chief Executive Officer of the Sarawak Sports Corporation and Chairman of the Technical and Competition Committee for the 21st Sarawak SUKMA 2024, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan. -UKASnews
