KUCHING: Sarawakians are invited to understand and appreciate the meaning of Aidilfitri for the benefit of mankind in living their lives.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol invited Muslims in the state to focus on the meaning of this festivity especially for the less fortunate.
"The atmosphere of this year's Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration is lively again, especially for those who have the opportunity to celebrate it in their respective villages with their families, relatives, friends and fellow villagers.
"Therefore, I would like to invite the public to understand the meaning of Aidilfitri, especially for the less fortunate and those who are in need, or those who are currently in war zones and become victims," he said in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2024 message on Tuesday.
In this regard, Datuk Abdullah also invited everyone to come together and pray on the basis of humanity and gratitude in addition to hoping that peace and order be bestowed on those in need.
"May peace and tranquility be bestowed upon them as well as love and safety be bestowed upon all citizens of the world who are burdened with a gripping life.
"I pray that everyone has a save (festive) visiting as well as given the best health, strength of soul and mind to continue to serve and be devoted,” he added. -UKASnews
