SPAOH: The final match of the YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas Cup (1st Edition) was held on Sunday, bringing an exciting end to the three-day football tournament. 

This tournament was organised by the Bukit Saban Constituency Service Centre, SABERKAS Bukit Saban, Betong Division Football Association, Anak Bukit Saban Club, and Betong District Council. 

It took place from July 19 to 21, 2024, and was an event held for the people of Bukit Saban. 

Seven teams had competed, consisting of Genk Brutan, Pelados FC, KBBS A, KBBS B, Vetspac, Ulu Layar BS, and Lubanez.

Betong Member of Parliament, Dr Richard Rapu officiated the closing ceremony and handed out the prizes. 

Ulu Layar BS won the championship, receiving RM5000 in cash, a certificate, and a trophy. 

KBBS A, the runner-up, received RM2500. 

Meanwhile, Genk Brutan and Pelados FC shared the third place.

The Best Player Award was given to Tuing Gumba from Ulu Layar BS who received RM300.

Also present were Betong District Officer, Alfred Grling Ason, Sarawak Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (Betong Branch) Officer, Dayang Amynarima, Betong Division Football Association President, Abg Suhordie Abg Zaini, and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Chambai Mancha. -UKASnews
