Sarawak Leaders Work Tirelessly for State's Progress

BINTULU: Sarawak's government leaders continue to work tirelessly to advance the state.

Sarawak's Minister for Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, highlighted that Sarawak has the capacity and a capable leadership team to steer the state towards progress.

According to him, Sarawak is rich in resources and will fall behind if these resources are not utilised.

"On behalf of the Sarawak Government, we are working hard not only to enhance the social economy but also connectivity.

"In addition, we will have our own airline, gain significant interests in a bank, and more," he said during the ‘Majlis Jamuan Tengah Hari Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Bersama Pemimpin Masyarakat Bahagian Bintulu’ on Monday.

The event, graced by the presence of the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, was attended by 90 community leaders (KMKK) from around Bintulu.

The programme included a welcoming dance performance by the BLF Dance Group and a musical performance by Rhythm Raga Buskers.

During the event, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi took the opportunity to interact with the KMKK and other guests.

For the record, this was Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi's first official visit to Bintulu since his appointment as the 8th Governor of Sarawak on January 26.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department, Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Murum Assemblyman, Kennedy Chukpai Ugon, and department heads. -UKASnews
