Lawas District Vet Department Raises Awareness On HFMD, FMD, LSD & Rabies

LAWAS: The Lawas District Veterinary Department recently conducted a briefing to provide awareness on Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD), Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) and Rabies in the Lawas District. 

The briefing, involving agencies and farmers at the Lawas District Council (MDL), aims to raise awareness about the control of animal diseases FMD, LSD, Rabies - DVS, and awareness of HFMD in humans.

Also present were Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok, Lawas District Veterinary Service Officer Robine Asut as well as department heads involved.

During the discussion, collaboration between agencies such as DVS, IBET, Medical, MDL, and others will be continued to ensure Lawas becomes a green zone district by 2025. - UKASnews
