KUCHING: Bumiputera entrepreneurs need to be prepared to face economic challenges if they aim to strengthen their economic position and achieve their business targets.
According to the Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, entrepreneurs must be resilient in the face of challenges to boost their performance and become innovative entrepreneurs.
Additionally, he emphasised that the dependence on the government must be eliminated as it is a clear reason why entrepreneurs lag in the development stream.
"Whether we serve in the government or private sector, I am sure we have all faced problems, and the ups and downs in life are a common occurrence," he said.
He said this during the 18th Anniversary Celebration of Konsortium Bumi Consultants and Services (KBCS) Sendirian Berhad at Imperial Hotel Kuching on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Datuk Dr Penguang also urged entrepreneurs to maintain a positive outlook when facing any obstacles.
"In my opinion, challenges are necessary because they provide the motivation we need to work harder and push ourselves to perform extraordinary tasks," he added.
Also present were Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak (Talent Development) Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Deputy Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment, Datuk Malcom Mussen Lamoh, Sarawak Science Research Advisor, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Alfred Jabu Numpang, Advisor in the Premier's Department (Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030), Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, and other guests. -UKASnews
