SIBU: A total of six Chinese Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK) from around the Nangka constituency have received their appointment letters. 

The appointment letters were presented by Sibu District Officer, Khalid Andong in a ceremony held at the Sibu District Office here, on Monday.  

The appointments involved five Kapitan, and one Penghulu.

The new appointments are Penghulu Teo Nging Poh, Kapitan Tiong Siew Ping, Kapitan Goh Kee Seng, and Kapitan Tay Guan Boo.

Meanwhile, two reappointments are Kapitan Wong Kiong Khing, and Kapitan Tiong Chiong Kiing.

Also witnessing the presentation were Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau Lee Ming, Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Joshua Ting, and Councillor Datuk Teo Boon Siew. -UKASnews
