BELAGA: The strong cooperation between the Federal and Sarawak governments must be strengthened and maintained to ensure continuous development for the benefit of the rakyat.
 
According to Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Patinggi Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the cooperation between both governments is a one of the advantages under the leadership of Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim in leading the Unity Government.
 
“Effective cooperation between the Sarawak government and the Federal government must be strengthened and upheld.
 
“This is crucial not only to address matters and details as enshrined in the Malaysian Agreement 1963 (MA63) but also in terms of the shared responsibilities in fulfilling the people’s needs,” he said.
 
He spoke at a press conference after officiating the Hybrid Solar Supply Project and the ‘Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat’ programme at Rumah Brain Merin in Punan Ba, here, on Monday.

Datuk Patinggi Ahmad Zahid added, the Federal government remains committed in assisting communities and residents in rural areas especially in Sarawak.
