LIMBANG: Various projects are being implemented in Limbang aimed at benefiting its residents.
Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said, these ongoing and upcoming projects showcase the Sarawak government’s commitment to improve infrastructure and economic conditions in the region.
“Among the fully completed projects are the ‘Anjung Usahawan’, which is awaiting handover and inauguration, and the Medamit Esplanade, where this new landscape will enliven Medamit and become a symbol of development in the rural area,” he said.
He said this in his text of speech read by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail during the Gawai Dayak Open House Dinner in conjunction with the Medamit Festival 2024.
Meanwhile, other projects in progress include the Sarawak Sabah Link Road (SSLR) project connecting Miri, Limbang, Lawas, and Sabah, the road project from Rumah Baba, Penganan to Rumah Thaddeus, Pulau Brunei, and the Enseriban and Semena Bridge projects.
Furthermore, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah said the bridge project connecting Medamit town to the SSLR route, the land development project in collaboration with SALCRA, the road upgrade project from Simpang Sagan to Rumah Ejau, Sungai Munti, and the road project to Rumah Satu, Kuala Medalam are progressing well.
Therefore, the Sarawak Deputy Premier urged all residents to continue supporting the current government in developing rural areas and to be patient with upcoming projects aimed at improving socioeconomic conditions and development.
