KUCHING: 47 local vendors were honoured with commemoration plaques at the Sarawak Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) Vendors Commemoration 2024.
Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg expressed his appreciation to PETRONAS for its role in nurturing and developing players in the gas industry, enabling them to be active in various sectors related to oil and gas.
"As you know, oil and gas industry is a very vibrant industry, but there are also a lot of challenges.
"You have to upgrade your skills as well as identify new areas so that you can participate in the oil industry in Malaysia and offshore," he said when gracing the ceremony at a leading hotel here, on Monday.
Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari also expressed his gratitude to the vendors for their successes and urged them to develop into robust OGSE regional players that can contribute significantly to the nation’s success at the global stage.
The commemoration plaques to 47 local vendors were presented by PETRONAS Vice President of Group Procurement, Rashidah Alias while witnessed by the Sarawak Premier.
