MIRI: The 11th Miri Bike Week, organised by Coastal City MG, is set to take place from August 30th to September 1st, 2024, at Permymall, Miri.
The organisers expect up to 10,000 attendees, surpassing previous years' numbers.
The event aims to gather motorcycle owners of all engine capacities and promote awareness of healthy activities, particularly for Miri's youth.
Miri Bike Week aspires to contribute to the post-pandemic economic recovery by attracting over 600 motorcyclists from Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The event will feature 65 booths open to the public, consisting of two categories which are the biker club exhibitions as well as food and beverage stalls.
Highlights include a Bicycle Competition, Battle of the Bands, Charity Ride, Arm Wrestling Competition, Merdeka Concert, Miss Borneo Nation, and various stage events.
Meanwhile, the Pre-Inauguration Ceremony of the 11th Miri Bike Week 2024 was held at Permymall, officiated by Councillor Tan Lek Jin who represented Sarawak Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.
Also present were, Miri Mayor cum Pujut Assemblyman, Adam Yii Siew Sang, Administrative Officer, Strategic Planning and Project Implementation Section, Rafiq Azli Ramli, Chairman of the 11th Miri Bike Week 2024, Ramzie Hipni, Regional General Manager of NAIM Sdn Bhd, Haliza Segar, and President of Coastal City Motor Club, Malateh Mahmud. -UKASnews
