MIRI: The Sarawak Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development hosted the Youth Entrepreneur Setup event at Suarah Hall in Miri on Friday.

The programme began with the topic of the Sarawak Youth Business Idea Competition 2023, popularly referred to as SaYBIC 23.

The main objective of SaYBIC 23 is to serve as a platform for sharing and generating innovative entrepreneurial ideas and sustainable business models among university students in Sarawak, ensuring they are competitive and resilient in facing global economic challenges.

Moreover, this competition is vital in nurturing the interest of university students in Sarawak to develop business empires through creativity and innovation, with SaYBIC 23 showcasing students generating remarkable ideas that can transform into competitive enterprises capable of thriving both nationally and internationally.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurship of Sarawak (MYSED) and the Lambir Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, Permanent Secretary of MYSED Morshidi Frederick, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MYSED Dolhadi Mazuki, Coordinator of MASMED UiTM Sarawak Dr Malvern Abdullah and other distinguished guests. -UKASnews
