KUCHING: All parties involved in the construction of the Kuching Urban Transit System (KUTS) project must continuously monitor its progress to prevent any delays.
Sarawak Transport Minister, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, stated that this is necessary to avoid any setbacks in the implementation of the project.
“At the same time, the involved parties must be aware of the progress of the work processes, and if there are any delays, they should identify the causes and rectify them at the start of the project. Don’t wait until the project is 20 to 30 per cent behind schedule.
“We hope this project can be completed according to the established timeline, and therefore all parties involved must closely monitor the project.”
He made these remarks during a press conference following a visit to the KUTS construction site in Kuching on Friday.
Additionally, Dato Sri Lee mentioned that the involved parties must have a 'Catch Up Plan' in place if there are signs of delay.
Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Transport Sarawak, Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil, and other implementing officers involved in the project. - UKASnews
