KUCHING: The wife of the Sarawak Governor, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a courtesy visit from the Sarawak branch of the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia (PPPM) at the Sarawak State Palace on Friday.

President of PPPM Sarawak branch, Dato' Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud, stated that the visit aimed to inform Toh Puan Fauziah about the preparations for the upcoming programme, which includes the Girl Guides Conference and the 59th Annual General Meeting of the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia 2024. 

The events are set to take place from June 27 to 29 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

A total of 300 association members from across Malaysia are expected to attend the conference, including the Presidents of various branches such as the Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Soraya Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Yang Amat Mulia Datin Seri Ramlah Azizah Almarhum Sultan Nasirudin Shah from Terengganu, and Yang Mulia Dato' Tengku Shireen Tengku Suleiman from Perlis.

Dato' Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dato' Dr. Wan Ismail, the President of the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia, will chair the 59th Annual General Meeting.

Several events will be held, including the Royal Banquet, a dinner reception, and visits to CENTEXS and the Borneo Cultures Museum.-UKASnews
