BETONG: A total of 600 packs of bubur lambuk were distributed to government employees at the State Office Complex Betong here, on Monday.
Betong Resident Richard Michael Abunawas attended the event to officiate the ceremony.
The programme started with a symbolic distribution ceremony to department heads followed by government employee recipients at a booth stationed by the main entrance.
The activity of preparing bubur lambuk was carried out collectively by a joint effort of three organisations.
The programme was organised by the Betong Resident's Office in collaboration with the Sarawak State Development Office and the Jawatankuasa Tetap Perayaan Islam Bahagian Betong (JATAIB).
Also present were Deputy Director (Sri Aman Zone) at the Sarawak State Development Office Radiah Muhamed, Betong Hospital Director Dr Tan Jung Kang, Betong Land And Survey Department Betong Superintendent TPr Moris Nayup, Betong Islamic Officer Mohd Isselahuddin Kameri and Social Welfare Officer of Betong Division Abdul Shamat Kassim. -UKASnews
