KUCHING: The full rehearsal for the Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta (SIDBR) 2025 Opening Ceremony proceeds smoothly, marking the final preparations ahead of the prestigious event scheduled to take place on 24 October at the Kuching Waterfront.

Held on Wednesday, the rehearsal aims to ensure the seamless execution of all aspects of the ceremony, including protocol coordination, technical arrangements, safety measures and the official programme for the launch day.

The rehearsal involves several key components such as guest protocol drills, event flow coordination, as well as audio and visual system tests to ensure that every detail functions perfectly on the day of the ceremony.

The SIDBR stands as one of the main highlights of the Kuching Waterfront Festival 2025, expected to gather more than 2,000 paddlers from 22 countries.

The opening ceremony is set to be officiated by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.
