KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, graciously reached out to members of the asnaf community through the 'Majlis Sumbangan Tautan Kasih' (Tautan Kasih Charity Contribution Event), held at Mydin Vista Tunku in Kuching on Sunday.

The event saw a total of 100 recipients, comprising single mothers, orphans, and underprivileged individuals, receiving contributions in the form of cash assistance and basic necessities.

The donations were a personal initiative by Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah, and their family members as a gesture of compassion and care towards those in need.

During the same event, prizes for a lucky draw were also presented, along with Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid from Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi, his wife, and their family to six recipients.

The contributions were handed over by their daughters, Sharifah Fariah Syed Junaidi and Sharifah Nong-Jasima Syed Junaidi.

Also in attendance were Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi’s son-in-law, Mohd Nur Hakim Yusuf, and his granddaughter, Athena.

Among those present were Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohamad Razi Sitam, and his wife, Datin Hafsah Saleh, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry, Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua, Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) Mayor, Dato Hilmy Othman, Kuching Division Resident, Dayang Joanita Azizah Abang Morshidi, Director of the Sarawak Social Welfare Department (JKM), Semawi Mohamad, DBKU Director, Ramzi Abdillah, and DBKU Deputy Director, Rudzaimeir Malek. -UKASnews
