Dato Sri Fadillah Leads State Honours Recipients List In Conjunction With Sarawak Governor’s 79th Birthday Celebration

KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof heads the list of 1,372 recipients of the Sarawak State Honours for 2025, held in conjunction with the celebration of the 79th Official Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak.

The Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, who is also the Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya, was conferred the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang (D.A), which carries the title Datuk Amar.

President of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum and President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak Dato Richard Wee Liang Chiat were each awarded the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (P.N.B.S), which carries the title Dato Sri.

Five other individuals received the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (P.G.B.K), which carries the title Datuk.

They are Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication (Sarawak Energy Berhad and PETROS) Dato Ibrahim Baki; Deputy Minister for Transport (Riverine and Marine) Dato Henry Harry Jinep; Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu; Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development II Dato Majang Renggi; and President of the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) Datu Ik Pahon Joyik.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Adana Jed leads the list of nine recipients of the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (D.J.B.S), which carries the title Datu.

Other recipients of the same honour include Director of the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak Dr Cassidy Morris; Director of the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Sarawak Awang Mohamad Fadillah Awang Redzuan; Director of the Land and Survey Department Sarawak Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood; Betong Division Resident Richard Michael Abunawas; Director of the Human Resource Management and Development Unit Sharifah Rohana Datu Wan Alwi; General Manager of the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation Zainal Abidin Abdullah; General Manager of SALCRA Joseph Blandoi; and Huong Siu Hung.

Meanwhile, 22 individuals were conferred the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (P.S.B.S), which also carries the title Dato.

Among them are Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, wife of the Sarawak Secretary; Datin Sri Angelina Celestine Ujang; Serembu Assemblyman Miro Simuh; Meluan Assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin; Beting Maro Assemblyman Razaili Gapor; Member of Parliament for Tanjong Manis Ir Yusuf Abd Wahab; and Private Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak Ahmad Hazlan Ismawi.

Others who received the same honour include Dr Punitha Silvarajoo; DCP Mohd Taufik Toh Abdullah; Brigadier General Jafri Sulaiman; Su Tiang Joo; Fenny Nuli; Jasni Jubli; Hasbilah Mohd Salleh; Tapah Ata; Dr Wan Ali Tuanku Madhi; Ruslan Abdul Ghani; Augustine Wong Chung Ho; James Ung Sing Kwong; Ngui Ing Ing; Dr Salihin Abang; and Zolkipli Mohamad Aton.

Three posthumous recipients were also awarded the Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (P.S.B.S), which carries the title Dato — they are the late James Alexander Ritchie, the late Shahren Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, and the late Mohd Hasbie Sulaiman.

Meanwhile, seven individuals received the Johan Bintang Kenyalang (J.B.K) — namely Tebedu Assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada; Tanjong Datu Assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan; Abdul Halim Abang Naili; Abdul Samat Gany; Bundan Ngila; Chamles Jack; and Vijayan Ngalingam.

Among the 18 recipients of the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C) are Serian Division Resident Caroline Cleophas Joseph; State Health Director Dr Veronica Lugah; Kapit Division Resident Elvis Didit; Sibu Division Resident Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman; and Director of the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan.

The breakdown of the remaining honours is as follows:
Pingat Perwira Negeri (P.P.N) (Gold) – 1 recipient;
Pingat Perwira Negeri (P.P.N) (Gold, Posthumous) – 1 recipient;
Pingat Perwira Negeri (P.P.N) (Silver) – 3 recipients;
Pingat Perwira Negeri (P.P.N) (Bronze) – 10 recipients;
Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S) – 13 recipients;
Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K) – 134 recipients;
Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B) – 159 recipients;
Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S) – 109 recipients;
Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K) – 157 recipients;
Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T) – 355 recipients;
Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T) (Posthumous) – 1 recipient; and
Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S) – 362 recipients.
