KUCHING: The National Conference on Integrity and Governance (NCIG) 2025 organised by the Sarawak Government in collaboration with the Human Resource Development and Management Unit, Sarawak Premier's Department is described as not just an academic platform, but an important arena to strengthen the culture of integrity governance in the public service.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Integrity and Ombudsman), Datuk Dr. Juanda Jaya, said the conference was a platform for participants to exchange views, share experiences and learn best practices from various organisations to strengthen the corruption prevention system and improve integrity standards in the world of work.
“This conference is not just a space for presenting papers, but also an opportunity to build strategic networks across sectors and disciplines.
"It is important to ensure that the value of integrity truly becomes a culture in every organisation," he said at the event here on Tuesday.
Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan was present to officiate the event on behalf of Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.
He explained the three main objectives of organising the conference, namely, empowering participants through sharing best practices in governance and corruption prevention efforts, increasing the capacity of participants to control and reduce the risk of corruption, especially in the public sector, and supporting the Sarawak government's efforts in strengthening the state's image through the culture of integrity.- UKASnews
