MUKAH: Lions Club Mukah continues to strengthen its commitment to serving the community when it successfully implemented two community projects together with Lions Club Region 2 and Region 3.

The project handover was carried out on Sunday involving the environmental signage upgrade project at Taman Boulevard Mukah and the donation of furniture and equipment to the Mukah Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK).

Lions Club Mukah President, Penghulu Henry Lee expressed his appreciation to all 13 Lions clubs involved, including the presidents and members who have worked together to make both projects a success.

Meanwhile, in the evening, Lions Club Mukah also held the Appointment Ceremony of the Board of Directors for the fiscal year 2025 to 2026 which took place in a lively and harmonious atmosphere.

According to Penghulu Henry Lee, the ceremony not only celebrated the appointment of the new leadership, but also served as a platform to strengthen the bond between Lions members from all over Sabah and Sarawak.

He also touched on this year’s Lions theme, ‘Focus in Service – Thru Focus We Lead, Thru Focus We Shine’ which emphasises the priority of serving the community as the foundation of leadership.

“This theme reminds us to stay focused on what really matters, which is serving others. When we stay focused, we are able to lead better and shine brighter,” he said.

The ceremony was also attended by the Lions District Governor, Dato’ Winnie Lee Siew Ping. -UKASnews
