KUCHING: The Gifted Art Gallery Exhibition 2025 showcases the unique talent and creativity of Sarawak’s special needs community.

According to Senator Dato’ Ahmad Ibrahim, this event is not merely an art showcase but a celebration of talent, resilience, and boundless creativity within Sarawak’s special needs community.

“Every artwork tells a story of courage, perseverance, and the unique perspectives of these gifted individuals,” he said when officiating the exhibition at Plaza Merdeka, here on Monday.

The exhibition features the works of 12 special artists from the Kuching Association of Talent Development and Welfare of Special Needs (KATSN), comprising both children and adults.

Dato’ Ahmad further commended the tireless efforts of KATSN, parents, volunteers, and sponsors, acknowledging their crucial role in creating a platform for these artists to shine.

He also reiterated his commitment in the Dewan Negara to advocate for policies and initiatives that provide job training, inclusive employment, and long-term support for the special needs community.

“These artists are not defined by their challenges, but by their abilities and determination. They are truly the gems of our society,” he added.

The exhibition concluded with Dato’ Ahmad extending his heartfelt congratulations to all the artists showcased and expressing appreciation to KATSN and the organisers for their dedication and vision. -UKASnews
